At Hills Haematology, we are dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care to our patients. With practices located throughout the Hills and surrounding areas, we aim to bring competent haematological care to your doorstep.

Meet our Haematologist

             

       Dr Suraya Naidoo is a clinical haematologist, who has worked in the field of Haematology since 2008. Having worked world-wide, she brings experience, care and understanding to all patients with haematological disorders.

“I’ve trained and worked in South Africa, New Zealand, and in Queensland and New South Wales in Australia. Receiving a haematological diagnosis can be life-changing for many patients. I walk this journey with my patients, to ease their burdens during this difficult time.”  


Dr Naidoo has extensive experience in treating cytopenias (anaemia, low white cell and platelet counts), lymphomas and lymphoproliferative disorders, myeloproliferative neoplasms, myeloma, blood clots and bleeding disorders.


Having worked in one of the largest haematology clinical trials research units in Sydney, Dr Naidoo assures you she will find the best treatment plan for you. 


As a Finalist for the coveted Clinical Excellence Award in central Queensland in 2023, the care Dr Naidoo offers is unprecedented.

What to Expect

Specialised Medical Care

At your consultation, we will thoroughly review your referral, medical history, symptoms, blood and radiology investigations and provide a thorough physical examination.


At Hills Haematology, we understand that receiving a medical diagnosis is often unsettling and overwhelming hence we schedule sufficient time for you to ask questions and receive the support and clarity you seek.


 Initial consultations are approximately 1 hour long whilst follow up consultations are 20-30min.

Referrals and Specialised investigations

We will arrange any specialised investigations you require eg. CT Scans and Bone marrow biopies.

If your treatment plan requires specialised treatment (eg venesections or chemo-immunotherapy), you will have the option of being treated at Norwest Private Hospital or be referred to a public facility.

We are also happy to refer you to other specialists and allied health colleagues, if required.

Costs

The cost of a spcialist consultation will incur an "out-of-pocket" costs as follows :

Initial consultation -$90

Follow-up - $50

How to book

Simply call our rooms or email us to make an appointment at your preferred location.

A GP or specialised referral is required. 

A GP referral will be valid for 12 months, whilst a specialist referral will be valid for 3 months.
